Herbs

Scientifically speaking, the word grass is applied to any annual, dioecious, or perennial plant whose stems do not have sufficient woody tissue. The shoots (not necessarily the roots) die at the end of their growing season. The word is also used to denote plants that are used in medicine, or to give foods and drinks a medicinal flavor, or to extract perfumes.

Extract fragrance from herbs

Plants contain aromatic compounds, and as their name suggests, these compounds are what makes nature smell so pleasant. In order to obtain these plant aromatic compounds from herbs, techniques of pressure, steam distillation, grinding and extraction using solvents are used, where the whole herb, its leaves or roots can be used in the process of extracting the essential oils.
